freesoft was founded in 2002 in Amman, Jordan by Kefah T. Issa, a lead software and computer engineer.

The Team

Kefah T. Issa
Kefah has a versatile technology background and over 10 years of hands-on experience in all facets of the software development process. As an innovative and pragmatic problem solver, Kefah is recognized for his focus on the bottom line and his clear grasp of technology. He is experienced in decomposing and describing system architectures.

As an advocate, contributor and firm believer of Open Source, Kefah has successfully applied his skills and expertise to building many mission-critical and industrial-strength applications using Open Source and Object-Oriented technologies, techniques and methodologies.

Prior to founding freesoft , Kefah worked for five years at Estarta Solutions as a Technical Project Manager where he successfully delivered cutting edge solutions to such clients as Microsoft, Thomson Financial / First Call, UltiVerse Technologies, IMLogic, and Merrill Lynch, amongst others.

Before Joining Estarta, Kefah held several technical positions with various organizations where he delivered world-class software solutions in areas such as Desktop Publishing, Localization and specialized Audio and Video technologies.

Kefah holds a B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan with emphasis on Computer hardware and software engineering. During his final year at the University, Kefah developed an embedded networked system with a homemade Object Oriented kernel.
